What we are glad to receive: corrections, especially on a code citation, a height figure or a permit trigger that has changed since we last checked it. Questions about something on a page that was unclear. Notes from Valley homeowners about what a jurisdiction actually told them at the counter, which is often how we find out a page needs updating.

What we cannot do: tell you whether a specific wall, gate or pool barrier complies with the code that applies at your address, review your quote and tell you which contractor to hire, recommend a company, or provide legal advice.

Compliance determinations belong to your jurisdiction, and hiring decisions belong to you. If a question needs an inspector, an engineer or an attorney, we will say so rather than guess.

We do not publish a mailing address or a telephone number. Email is the only channel, and we read all of it, though we cannot promise a reply to every message.
